Kizhur:The youngsters here revealed their generous mentality to service the society as they planted shade giving trees in the roadside in the harthal day of 5th July 2010. The plants were sponsored by the "Samskruthi" club in Adaykkaputhoor who has been working closely to the nature for years. The programme was inaugurated by Sub Inspector of police, Cherpulassery by planting one of our trees in the roadside. "This is a Charitable programme to conduct and this should be a model to the others in joining in social activities" he said. He also advised to protect and nurture the plants carefully till they are mature enough

In the latest news from kizhur, the government of kerala has decided to make kizhur and ananganmala an eco-friendly tourist centre.A ray of new hope has dawned among the natives as the govt. had decided to convert Anaganmala a tourist centre. This mountain stretching over 500 acres is a rare store house of precious and exceptional herbs. The demand has been existing from the time past. When facilities like a footpath to the top of the mountain, accommodation facilities at night, electricity etc. come to the region it will also benefit the natives. Top of the mountain provided a panoramic view of about 50 km circumference.There will be rope ways, small bridges, and many more by his 60 Lack budget project. The programme was inougurate by respected minister Binoy Viswam on may 2010.
